As you probably already know, E and I are OBSESSED with ramen. We are currently on a mission to try as many ramen places in New York City and New Jersey (HOLY COW Ani Ramen – review coming shortly) as we possibly can. A few weekends ago we decided to stop into Chelsea Market for dinner after hearing about Mokbar from some friends. It is right across Los Tacos No. 1 – also delicious.

Mokbar is a Korean ramen joint that has a wide selection of cold and hot ramen.  The place was PACKED and we got there about 30 minutes before closing! We waited about two minutes and were then seated at the bar in the back. After carefully reviewing the menu, E and I each ordered hot ramen, me the vegan miso with an extra soft egg (my favorite), E the chicken with some extra pork belly. We were both very happy with our choices. We slurped up all the noodles, fresh veggies and proteins. They don’t use MSG in any of their food, which is awesome sauce, and are committed to using local and and fresh ingredients whenever possible. Their noodles are even made in the great state of New Jersey! Very impressive! We will definitely be going back for more!
