Last weekend, a friend of mine and I threw a joint birthday BBQ for ourselves. It was so nice to celebrate with all of our friends! It has been so HOT here in New Jersey so I opted to wear a cute striped summer dress for the party. I bought it on sale and it has been on repeat ever since!
As a special pre-BBQ treat, E bought me two donuts from a shop down the shore that I have never been to, Broad Street Dough Co. I found out about Broad Street Dough Co. through Instagram. The New Jersey donut scene is growing and I love it! E was at Kane Brewing in Ocean, New Jersey the day before with some friends and made a quick stop just for me! He selected the Chai Town and Creamsicle donuts – both new flavors that we have never had anywhere before. The Broad Street donuts are actually quite small which is not a bad thing. It just means you get to eat more of them! My favorite of the two was the Creamsicle. It actually tasted like one! The next time we head down to Kane, we will definitely be stopping in again to try something new!
