STYLE: Gingham Girl

As I have mentioned in previous posts, it gets really hot and humid in the New York/New Jersey area during the summer months. So very sweaty! As a result, I am always on the lookout for light, easy summer dresses.

I was recently at the mall, just browsing during my lunch hour, when I saw this gingham dress.  I knew I had to have it! It was just different enough from everything else in my closet. And I knew it would look cute with my classic flats and chain wallet. It was the perfect date night outfit!

Before dinner downtown, E and I wandered through the Washington Mews, a hidden pedestrian walking street right by Washington Square Park in New York City. As we were walking, it felt like we were transported back to the Beacon Hill neighborhood in Boston (one of my all time favorite neighborhoods, second of course to the South End). I loved the cobblestone street, the brownstones and the colorful flower boxes that decorated the homes. It was so pretty and quiet. You would have never thought a place like this could exist in the city that never sleeps. It was a brief escape from the hustle and bustle. And then we were off to try some new ramen at the Ramen Lab! We have a ramen addiction!
