HOME: Patio Sneak Peek

One of my favorite things about our home is our patio situation. We have two large patios, one off of each floor of the house. While the downstairs patio needs a little (read: A LOT OF) work, the upstairs deck is in great condition! I have been counting down the days to spring and summer so we can finally sit out on the deck regularly!

While we moved in to our house in July of last year, we didn’t get to fully appreciate the patio because we didn’t have any furniture, and because we had just had Nathan. I didn’t get outside much until September… So at my first opportunity I hopped over to Target to pick up a few things. They have so many cute patio pieces! Instead of going for a set, I decided to mix and match several pieces from different collections.

I was initially inspired by these navy blue french bistro chairs (they also come in white). At only $59 a chair, they are a steal! I actually purchased them on sale for only $45 a chair, so it was an even better deal for me! They look IDENTICAL to these chairs that I had been DYING for, but were a little out of our price range at $228 a chair :-/

I scoured the Target website for an outdoor table. I wanted one with a modern look. This Project 62 table fit the bill! It was exactly what I wanted. And it was also on sale! While it was ridiculously heavy, and hard to get into the trunk of my car, once we got it home, it was very easy to put together.

Next, I went searching for an outdoor rug. I really wanted a blue one with a pattern. I was between this one and this one. I couldn’t decide, so I let E pick, and he selected this one. I also picked up this umbrella and base. Both fit perfectly with the table, chairs, and rug! While I love basking in the sun, we need the ability to have instant shade for Nathan.

We just need a few more items to complete the look! I just picked up these lights at Target. I cannot wait to hang them up! I also picked up these tumblers and the matching pitcher. I love a nice cold glass of homemade lemonade on a hot day. I also have these pillows in my cart. Last, but certainly not least, we MUST purchase a grill. I hope to host a BBQ or two this summer! Crossing my fingers we get this one for my birthday!
